  • What is meant by 'non-socialized canine care'?

We feel that a majority of dogs are not comfortable in a socialized setting with dogs of all shapes, sizes and temperments playing all day.  Most canine family members do not understand why this DOG is chewing on their head.  Our facility is very open and they can SEE each other, but they are not ON each other.

Our purpose in boarding and daycare is to make sure you get your dog back to you the way you brought them to us.  The only way we know how to do this is to not 'mix' dogs.  The dogs are taken out 5 times a day for play and elimination, so we keep them moving, exercized and they are not bored.

Our goal is to make boarding as home-like as possible and that means a clean, safe, comfortable, loving environment.

What can I expect when I bring my dog in for boarding/daycare?

You and your canine family member will be greeted with a smile!  We then take your dog from the lobby to our covered outside area to get out their nervous energy while we are getting their 'room' set-up, so when they come to their 'room' it is familiar with their 'stuff' or our bedding.  We ask that 'goodbyes' are said in the lobby so as not to disturb the other guests.

Do you have a vet on staff? No, we prefer to use your vet if the need arises.  Your vet is familiar with your dogs medical history and can sometimes offer diagnoses without expensive testing.  If it is an after hours emergency, we will take them to Georgia Veterinary Services.

    Are you open on Sunday?

Absolutely!  We are open seven days a week from 7AM - 7:30PM.  We are closed two days a year for check-ins/check-outs:  Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

As for check-outs, we ask that you pick up by 1PM.  If you must pick-up after 1PM we will charge a late check-out fee of $20.

Do you offer any specials or discounts?

We know our rates are lower than any of the other boarding facilies around Atlanta.  We do this to make sure all dogs can have a wonderful, clean, safe, loving place to stay when they can not stay home.  We are especially generous in our 'additional dog' rate, as we appreciate a family is able to take in more than one dog and give it a great home.

Beginning January 1, 2009, we will be offering our "Bark Rewards" by giving a FREE night after staying with us for 9 nights.  We will also to continue to offer a $10 referal fee for any Bark Avenue service when you tell a friend or family member and they decide to stay with us.
